Faith Imprints

Is Faith Imprints Right for Your Congregation?

The best way to answer that question is to consider some of the key elements of the Faith Imprints model. The three essential elements of Faith Imprints characterize and distinguish this child and family faith formation ministry from other early childhood family ministries. In order to replicate Faith imprints in your congregation, these three elements are a contractual expectation: Child-centered meetings, mentor guidance, and use of Faith Imprints materials.

Preparation to launch Faith Imprints will also be necessary. Use the checklist below to assist you in determining whether the time is right.

Pastor Support

Pastoral support and endorsement is essential to the success of Faith Imprints. Pastors can assist you in publicizing, raising funds, and identifying parents as participants and mentors.

Families with young children

Ideal group size is 6-10 families in each age group.
How many families do you have right now with children in the Birth-12, 12-24, and 24-26 month ranges?

Staff

Who will coordinate the program, recruit, train, and support mentors, and invite young families?

Internet access

Do you have a way to download the Faith Imprints meetings and Home Pages and participate in online discussions?

Mentors

Do you have several parents whose children are older than three and who are willing and able to make a three-year commitment?

Space

Do you have space at your church for bi-monthly meetings of parents with their children?

Do you have space you can dedicate as an office for the ministry?

Do you have storage space for Faith Imprints materials?
