Faith Imprints uses a model of trained volunteers as mentors for all groups. Mentors are the guiding lights of the ministry. These are the people who show up for every meeting and embrace parents and children with love, faith and support. Without mentors, the model of Faith Imprints would not exist. Mentors gently guide and support parents in each group as they work together to understand the role God has in the life of their families. While it could be said that anyone can do this, we have found that specific qualities have been present in our most successful mentors. They are--

• Active in their faith life

• Aware of God’s presence in their life

• Willingness to discuss matters of faith with others

• Reflective of their own life journey

• Able to recognize and celebrate their own strengths and weaknesses

• Gracious with self and others

• Committed to lifting up the vocation of Christian parenting

• Open to new relationships with young families

• Experienced with raising children

• Beyond the care and nurture of children birth-3 years of age in their own life

• Able to communicate with adults as well as children

• Willing to embrace the fact that children are involved in all of the meetings

• Can make a three year commitment

• Will commit to use the Faith Imprints materials with integrity

• Compassionate

• Organized

• Flexible

• Willing to take risks
